just think of it!!
his frnd playin some serious ****
and suddenly
BOOM!!!
lol
:shock::shock::shock:

what an INSULT for Cooler Master. well they should consider it praising for the amount of damage their Extreme Power to users, specially the novice gamers who just know games & graphics cards. pay next to no attention to PSU.

I agree.....Here people go into shops and say- "20,000 ka budget hai bhai, isme mere liye ek achha PC bana do....So here is where CM Extreme Series jumps in....Huh..!! When will people understand that they are purchasing a PC and not "Vegetables"....

My friend wants to buy a PC for 40k excluding mouse keyboard and printer
It is mostly for playing casual games(albiet latest ones),work.
Intel chipset and 5.1 speakers are a must.

yah. what peoples do is select the main components 1st & with the left over money gets the cabby + PSU, usually iBall.

Intel chipset & 5.1 speaker must? & that also in 40k? well this will leave ~35k (1.5k tax +3.5k for speaker) for the pc itself. ok look at this & comment:

Processor: Core i3 i530 2.93GHz @ 5.9K
Motherboard: Intel DH55TC @ 5.7k //other H55 board same price//
Ram: Transcend 2X2GB DDR3 1333MHz C9 @ 4.4k
Hard Disk: Western Digital 500Gb Caviar Blue: 2.4k
Graphics Card: Sapphire HD5750 1GB GDDR5 @ 8.2k
PSU: FSP Saga II 400W/Gigabyte 460W @ 2.3k/2.2k
Cabinet: NZXT Gamma @ 1.8k
Monitor: Samsung 2033SW 20" LCD Monitor @ 7.2k
Speaker: Creative Inspire ***: ~3.5k

total well above her budget & total price will surely touch 45k. if not more. this is cheapest i can make with a balanced config. more cheaper wil make her go into Core2 territory.

still i'll suggest i5 + P55 + HD5770 if she wants a rig that will last long.

I believe AMD is the better choice here, as the other most sensible option would be Core i5 750, for video editing purposes. The i5 will need OP to buy a graphics card, whereas that may be postponed with the AMD alternative. I vote for AMD Phenom II X4 955BE, which may be overclocked by 0.2GHz easily to make it Phenom II X4 965BE.

I meant an intel processor. She doesnt mind a motherboard from any other company.
Also if possible how much will a Core i5+P55+5770 add up to the current configuration.

Let me clear few things before some guyz get hard on me regarding SMPS ;).

I am not very sure about the advantages why you guyz forcing regarding CM or Corsair or Gigabyte as my friend is local Neotech 650w @ 1200 n working fine. (Guidance needed it this )

Confused between AMD & Intel (heard alot that AMD have heating issue)

Please suggest good TV-Tuner (internal) near about @3k

So which is better?
