IF you turn to page 129 of this month's Digit magazine, you will see a full page "security" related advertisement. I do not want to mention the name of the ad as it migh trigger automatic queuing for moderation.

I want to know if any of you have bought the book. How is it? :p

I also wanted to point out that discussing about the same is illegal in this forum. I wish the publishers adopt the same "high moral standards" in their publishing, or at least avoid using double standards. Just read out the list of things the company claims to teach you through their material, especially the first one, and you, our readers and publisher, will understand what I mean.

Your valuable opinions and response please !!

And please refrain from using profanities.

The first line in that ad says:

You can hack any email id password like gmail, yahoo, rediff etc

That is NOT hacking. That is cracking.

The book seems to be a load of tosh. It is more likely to spawn a new force of script-kiddies than teach 'hacking'.

"You can hack any email id password "

Bull$hit...
What the hell the advertisement meant by this .. ?
No one can hack gmail, yahoo mail etc password since all of them have SSL encryption ..
Really this shows how pathetic and cheap Digit has become to show these kind of ads for money ...
Feeling sorry for Digit

Oh crap ..
Just saw there $hit website ..*thesecretofhacking.com/
See how they try to find password of gmail account using sniffing ..
hahaha ... they are finding out the password of gmail account accessed within their network
Instead of specifying it they have written "hack any email account"
Which should be "Hack email account within the network "

IM AS MAD AS HELL!!
and they are ruining the name of such fabulous software like backtrack by including them in it.

Surely its double standards.

Ads in magazine = $$$$$ , so they allow it.

Ad says - hack any email etc ! If it is something good and if the ad was something like - Learn ethical hacking - learn how to prevent your email password getting hacked - it would have been better.

But then nobody will buy it !!

Hi guys,

First up, like any other magazine in the world, we do not endorse the products in the advertisements.

Secondly, we have already passed on your feedback, and advised the client to change their advertisement, as it is offending a lot of readers.
