Xbox 360 hangs

A few times there was a red light glowing at startup bt now it hangs or freezes aftr running abt a few minutes. I suspect thr s a heating issue. But wat shud i do abt it? Itsa 2006 model so out of warranty.

keep u r XBOX Vertical if its horizontal, and keep it where it can get enough air, If not worked still update the firmware.

hi thanx fr ur reps....i have ordered a console replacement from microsoft...they will b shipping it in 3 days... it was placed in vertically.... but i think ventilation wasnt very good as it was kept in the shelf on a tv stand...its open from front only n closed from other 3 sides.... wat kind of env shud i keep it in... will ensure next time 2 avoid this...giv examples...

Just pray you get one of the Falcon models as a replacement. It should possibly reduce the chances of an RRoD compared to their old 2006 batch.

RROD is less in jasper model but not completely over , unless u make some cooling needs - get 4 120m cooler master fans modd ur Xbox side panel connect it with simple SMPS for 300/- this is blow maximum AIR - so more cool - we did it for our friend , he plays 20 hrs per day since working perfectly

Dude I'm not a newbie here. A Jasper won't be provided as a replacement for his old core console. It would either be a old stock that they would replace it with or a fairly upgraded one, which would be Falcon. Plus we don't even have any sign of Jasper based boards out here in India. Most of the recent Arcade models have a manufacturing date of Dec 2008. So they could either be Jasper or Falcon models.

hey i wud b recieving the shipping soon.... so can u tell me how to figure out which model m getting... sry no idea abt falcon n jasper models

and also.. how can i check for its well being within a matter of minutes!!!
