*LCD limit: 19" only.

Thanks in advance.

BenQ 19" - 6.5k / Viewsonic 19" VA1912WB - 6.6k
E8400 - 8.8k
MSI P45 Neo-F - 5.4k / Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3R - 8.2k / ASUS P5QL Pro - 7k
2x2GB DDR2 RAM - 2.5k
Palit GTS250 512MB - 7.4k
CM EP600W - 3.6k
Zebronics Reaper - 2k
Altec Lansing BXR1121 - 1.4k
Logitech Combo - 1k
Samsung DVD-RW - 1.1k

Total cost depends on ur choice. But at the max, it wont cross the 43k mark.

If u want Quad Core then get a Q8200 for 8.8k.

For AMD, stick with AMD Phenom II X4 920 BE - 10k
AFA, Mobo get any mobo from Gigabyte or ASUS

mahesh

naughty boy :) :)
Phenom 2 550 BE
Giagabyte GA-MA78GM-US2H
Sapphire HD 4850
Corsair VX450
4Gb Transcend RAM
Samsung 2033
500 GB Seagate SATA 7200.12
KB & Mouse(any local brand)
Altec Lansing BXR1121
Samsung DVD Writer
APC 650 VA UPS

Bond, Desi Bond!
40k and a 19". That's a easy pick :)

Dell 1909W: 7k
Phenom II X3 720 BE: 7.5k
MSI 770-C35 socket AM3 mobo: 4.7k-5k(doesn't support am2+/am2 processors)
or
Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-US2H: 4.5k.

if you trust ASUS more, go for M4A78-EM
Transcend 2x2Gb DDR3 1333MHz: 3.5k-3.8k

Palit GTS250 1Gb: 9k or HD4850 512MB : 7k (since you are going for 19", these are more than enough to play all the games)
2x WD Blue or Seagate 7200.12 500 gig HDD: 5.3k (2.7k each)
Corsair VX450W: 4k
Cooler Master Elite 335 for 2.5k or Zebronics Reaper for 2k

Rest of the stuff you know :)

hellknight

BSD init pwns System V
Phenom II 720 BE - 7900
Biostar TA790GXBE - 5200
4 GB Kingston - 2500
WD 500 GB - 3000
Cooler Master EX 600 W - 3800
AOC 19 LCD - 7000
DVD Writer - 1100
Cabinet - Bijli - 1100
Radeon 4870 1 GB - 10000

Total - 41600

Don't go for Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200.. it doesn't supports virtualization.. and 720 BE pwns it easily...

Desiiji, once said no Q8200 - so don't go for it.
For 40k you can easily buy Q9550 @12k and some mobo (its ur pick - whether u need micro atx or atx - p35/p45)

PROCESS SHOULD BE THE ONLY THING IN WHICH U HAVE TO PUT MORE MONEY. NOT EVEN MOBO IMHO!

RAM - 2x2gb or single 2gb kingston/transcend/ corsair - depending on ur budget.

Don't go for 2x500 as desiji said. Pick a single 1tb or 1.5tb seagate or western digital. I would've recommended seagate's 7200.11 1tb or 1.5tb - but desii said they are not good (and even i think so after seeing my friends getting problem with that).

Video Card - get a dumbest and cheapest video card - for that 19" monitor even a low end video card can give u eye candies in games. My pick would be 9600GT 512mb PALIT. And one more thing, what ever chipset u buy - GO FOR PALIT/ZEBRONICS or any other cheap brands - don't go for ZOTAC/XFX/ASUS/MSI or something like that unless they are as cheap as other brands.

PSU - for 9600GT 512mb - Zebronices 400W PLATINUM (it sures handles - and its pretty good - i'm having the same combo)

Monitor - I won't tell any 19" monitor. God I hate them so much. If you are willing to spend some more - then here are some choices
BENQ E2200HD - around 9k (FULL HD - 1920x1080)
SAMSUNG 2233sw - under 10k (FULL HD - 1920x1080)
BENQ G2412HD - under 13K (24") (FULL HD - 1920x1080)
S2409W - price not sure - some said under 15k - but i dunno. (FULL HD - 1920x1080)
For the above monitors - u might have to switch onto PALIT GTS250 / 9800gt and switch off few eye candies in games (thats no big deal)

Once this monitor is in house - even the people who aren't interested in watching movies will save some time to watch quality movies... and not to mention those beautiful HD clips that u get from the digit mag and apple website...

@rhitwick
whats your budget?....according to that decide the hardware components as your requirements.

@emmarbee, dude I specially mentioned that only 19" monitors. The system is for my bro. He's gonna stay in hostel and I don't want to make his room a place of attraction only because of a huge monitor. 19" s are IMO common now-a-days.

@others, thank you all. I'm picking up things. To make all u clear, the configuration required includes Sound system (2.1), UPS, DVD RW(Samsung latest series I guess, or anything else).
I better edit the first post of my exact requirements.

@rhitwick, dont bang me, but samsung 2033SW is available in around 7.2K, same goes for dell 20", so decide yourself.
your bro will be running system for long so buy gigabyte/asus mobo. msi MSI 770-C35 is a nice choice if you wanna go dor DDR3, quiet a wise move if you go for it.
spending 40K so lil better speakers than BRX1121R, for gfx no second thoughts than HD4850, increasing on all goodies will make u miss UPS and all.

Well, this is what I've settled till now. Comment on it.

Procy: Phenom II 720 BE (7700/-)

MOBO: Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-US2H (I need 2-3 alternatives for it. there are chances I may not get this one) (u2sh@4515/-)

SMPS: Corsair VX450W (3950/-) / Tagan TG500-U37 (3375/-) / Coolermaster Extreme Power 500W (2850/-)

RAM: G.Skill - F2-6400CL5D-4GBPQ( 3000/-)

HDD: WD 250GB (2125/-)

GFX Card: Palit HD4850 512MB/ Sapphire HD4850/ Palit GTS 250 (Which one?) (Palit GTS 250 @7245/- / Palit HD4850 @8098/-)

DVD RW: Samsung 20x SATA SH-203B (1200/-)

Monitor: 19" LCD: Dell 1909W /AOC 917 VW (7200/- / 6450/-)

Speakers: Creative Inspire 2.1 (1800/-)

UPS: APC 500VA (2550/-)

KBD+Mouse: Logitech KBD+Mouse set (1000/-)

Taking the bold ones it comes 44385/- it would add another 3-4k in my state. So I need to cut down a few places.
I can only find
Procy
RAM (How about transcend 800Mhz? 2*2GB 2500/-)

I anyhow can't bring it down 45K. Below that it looses its charm :-|:-?

Bond, Desi Bond!
When I summed the total, it is coming at 40k only. how did you get it at 44385?

anyways, remove that junky creative 2.1 and add altec lansing BXR1121 (1.2k).

a 500VA will not be able to provide proper backup for the system. YOu need 650VA atleast. with 500VA and 500W PSU+19" display, UPS battery will lose it's potential very soon. It is only for 330W output.

@rhitwick, I once bought Creative M4500 with the same assumption. Sold them off after a week and bought MX-5021Creative speakers that are manufactured these days lack clarity. AL VS4121, Edifier C2, Logitech X230, Philips MMS430 are miles ahead of Creative Inspire 2.1
