My friend is Looking for In-Ear Headphones

Usage:
Mostly Hindi/Eng Songs @320 Kbps
Need Real clear sound with good bass

Shape of In-Ear IS MUST. As normal headphones do not fit due to small ear size :)

Here are few which I have gone through,

Creative EP-630 - Heard them, Personally felt very bad bass. Many people love this one. I liked sound clarity but it lacks bass very much.

Creative EP-830 - No idea on this one.

Philips SHE9850 - Never heard

SoundMagic PL30 - No idea on this one.

Sony MDR-EX35LP - No idea on this one.

Max. Budget: 1400 Rs

Please suggest.

Never heard of SHE9850?? That is a superb pair, amazing sound quality and very balanced over all frequencies. But they are beyond your budget(around 3K) and are really hard to find. There is another pair SHE9800,which costs 4.5K,definitely one of the best in-ear pairs out there.
But since you are on a budget of 1400 look at SHE9501 which costs Rs.999/-.These are hard to find but definitely worth it.Very balanced sound quality over all frequencies.

If you want more bass then go for Sony MDR-EX35LP and it costs Rs.1290/-.I personally find Philips SHE-9501 to be better than EX-35.It has a bigger driver, better sound quality and are more comfortable than Sony over long hours of listening.
Do have a look at these threads before coming to a conclusion.

what is your audio source?
i wud go with the EP 630 or the PL 30. EP 630 aint weak at bass. Its got lot better bass than the walkman HPM 70.
Both Ep 630 and PL 30 are around 800 bucks and performs similar.
Also the bass and audio quality greatly depends on the source.

I've choosen Sony MDR-EX35LP for 1250rs, my friend got Philips SHE-9550 for 1149rs. Both felt identical but sony's ear phones are slightly comfortable than philips. And thing to add is SHE-9550 does produce a whooping bass than EX35LP. Which will be good for good quality multimedia files and would be a night mare for low quality rips.

Choose between 35LP and 9550. But don't go to Ep-630 or 830.

Once again thanks to desiibond.

Sony is better than Creative. I have Ep630 and EX32. Sony is much clear with tight bass.

hmm. I don't think so and I won't recommend using these in-ear headphones demo pieces. god knows how many add their ear wax to the set :)
