Allllright !
NVIDIA has announced that Xolo will launch the Tegra Note tablet in the Indian market in October running on the Tegra 4 chipset, which has a quad-core Coretex A15 CPU. The chipset has a fifth battery saving core. It also houses a 72-core GeForce GPU.

NVIDIA claims that the tablet will be the fastest there is with a 7-inch display. We would like to put this claim to the test, as the current 7-inch tablet that has our undivided attention is the second generation Nexus 7.

In terms of its specifications, the 7-inch display has a 1280x800 pixel resolution. The tablet also has a 5MP rear-facing camera and the front has a VGA camera. The company claims that the device will last for 10 hours of HD video playback. It also sports 16GB built-in storage expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card. The tablet also comes with a stylus.

Another deviation from the norm is that the tablet will receive OTA updates directly from NVIDIA rather than relying on the hardware vendor. No word on pricing yet but since the Tegra Note platform from NVIDIA is aimed at affordability we don’t expect the device to cost an arm and leg. We peg the price will be around Rs. 12,500 approx

Gizmodo cites a company official and notes that the Xolo Play Tegra Note tablet will be launched in India next month, with the price expected to be between Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 20,000. Talk to the hand!!!
Why are they so shy of including a full HD panel? Well, atleast they finally did away with Mediatek SOCs. Lets hope they do the same for their smartphone lineup.

Similar to XOLO Play T1000 smartphone launched in July, the Tab delivers similar entertainment now on a bigger 7-inch screen,” said Sunil Raina, Business Head at XOLO.

We have seen the Xolo Play T1000 launch in the recent past. The smartphone runs on the Tegra 3 chipset and has a 4.7-inch display. We were really impressed with the performance of the smartphone. Xolo also launched the Xolo Tab back in September. The tablet showcased an 8-inch display, a quad-core CPU and the ability to house a SIM card to make calls.

In September, Xolo also showcased a tablet, which was its iteration of the NVIDIA Tegra Note. The device runs on the latest Tegra 4 chipset. The device is expected to launch in October and there is no information available about it’s pricing.
