which gpu do you have??

dont go for corsair vs series psus. choose seasonic m12 ii 650.
also for heavy overclocking hyper 212 wont be enough. get noctua nh d14 or liquid cooler set up.

I have GTX 650Ti (Asus) which I brought almost 15 months ago. Will upgrade in future, but not right now.
As I said light video rendering in windows movie maker ( I do have some YouTube channels and a network of websites)
While gaming I will use native 1920x1200 (high settings) in single monitor.

What's the problem with VS series PSU? It's rated 80+ Bronze.

An i5 or FX 8350 will very easily suffice your needs. You don't need to shell out 90k for these requirements as the most demanding task I see here is gaming and GTX 650ti will get you no where near 1080p @ ultra. I'll highly recommend selling your graphic card right now and get a new one together with the complete config.

If you sell 650ti, you can get this:

FX 8350 (13000)
Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0 (11000)
Cooler Master Hyper 212X (2700)
Corsair Vengeance 4 GB 1600 MHz x2 (5400)
WD Blue 1 TB (3800)
Samsung 840 EVO 120 GB SSD (7500)
Sapphire R9 290 4GB DDR5 TRI-X (35500)
Seasonic S12II 620 (5700)
Corsair 400R (5300)
Asus optical drive (1000)

total: 90.2k

harshilsharma63, the config is perfectly fine. But I think he can opt for 8GBX2 configuration.

I am not going to sell 650Ti as I am not a power gamer and it's more than enough for me right now. I will consider upgrading it later on, And BTW: I forgot to mention I wanted an Intel based CPU which is future proof (i5 4670k will satisfy my needs right now, but not after 1 year).

Here is my Config:
 • intel i7 4770K
 • Asus Z87 Pro
 • Samsung 840 Pro Series 256GB
 • Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
 • [STRIKE]Corsair VS650 650 [/STRIKE]Seasonic S12II 620 Watts PSU
 • WD Blue 1 TB
 • Corsair Vengeance DDR3 8 GB
 • Asus Blu-ray BW-12B1ST
 • cooler master haf912 / corsair carbide 400r

Where it is rated as 80+ bronze?
At flipkart that was rated 85% Efficiency. I changed my mind after your recommendation. Now moved to Seasonic S12II 620 Watts PSU from VS 650

@harshilsharma63 Sorry not interested in AMD Rig. Please tell me if you need any alteration in my above config or if you have a better config in Intel Processor.

Should I stick to Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO or move to Corsair H100i/ Corsair H80i

BTW: Guys which one is overall better HAF 912 or Carbide 400R ?

@harshilsharma63 , the config is perfectly fine. But I think he can opt for 8GBX2 configuration.

But I seriously think OP won't need 16 GB RAM, look at his replies. Now I think even 8 GB is more.

> 1080p gaming with 650ti? Good luck.

> Why do you want an Intel rig? wht is the problem with AMD config?

> Nothing is future proof. Period.

> If a 650ti can satisfy your 1080p gaming needs then an i5 4570k will satisfy your every need for your whole life.

> There is nothing that an i5 4570k will be slow at, say 2 years later. You are just wasting you money. Even an i5 4430 is perfectly enough four you. i7 4570 will be a big overkill. Seriously, analyze what you need to do on this PC. Windows Movie Maker doesn't need an i7 4770k, nor does Phitoshop and nor does opening 20-30 tabs in Firefox. I have an i3 2100 and it still serves well at anything you throw at it.

I do not need 16GB of RAM, 8GB is enough for me right now.

I also know nothing is future proof, but consider if you have brought a Dual core rig instead of Core 2 Duo rig 4 year ago which one is somehow usable right now?

As I said light gaming so I do not need 60 or 70 FPS. I do not want to sell my 650Ti right now, I will use that until it is usable.

Regarding movie maker, I am not going to stuck at Windows Movie maker for my entire life, will upgrade to Adobe Premier or Sony Vegas Pro.

You are right I currently don't need i7, but in future (after 1 year) this will be OK as processing needs of every program is increasing day by day.

Windows movie maker is the least of the system hogger currently with the cores and hyper threads we have on i5's/i7's. And considering your requirements and the processing power of a AMD OCed CPU, I agree with harshilsharma63 's recommendation.

650Ti itself is an outdated card. So your fuure proofing ideology and the GPU doesnt go well togather.

Now one question, who told you that i7 - K version will be a "future proof" and not i5? Is it a speculation or do u have any written/agreed upon thesis on this??

People here try to suggest you the best build for your moolah. Ultimately its your own moolah and u have every right to burn it the way you want it to be burnt. All we do here is suggest. Either you take it or leave it, it doesnt concern us.

Since the OP says 'light gaming' he is ok with the card which he has and in case he needs he can upgrade to another card later.
From his posts he does't seem to be bothered for high end gaming at least for now,so why suggest him r9 290?
Try to read what OP wants/needs and not assert what you like. 35k card for light gaming? really?
He also clearly mentions that he is not going to stick with windows moviemaker always and can use others like premier and vegas pro.
Yes an i5 4xxx/k or fx8350 would do fine but if he has the money and wants to spend for an overclock-able rig then there is no problem in getting unlocked i7.
i7 4770k is overall much better than fx8350.

Sadek
your config in post #10 is fine.Out of haf912 and carbide 400r the latter is better.
You can change the cabinet to nzxt source 530 full tower and can change the CPU cooler to h80i or likes.

If you can wait for some months more, then intel's devil canyon would be released, might also have arrived here and hopefully z97 boards would have also get released here by then.It is being marketed as a better overclocker,if it comes with suitable pricing and better overclocking ability or it leads to price cut then you can have better options.Basically it is the same architecture so clock to clock there would be no perfomance difference, just that it might run a lot cooler and might overclock better than 4770k.It might also be priced 30-50$ higher than existing i7 4770k.
But if a stable Govt. is not formed by then dollar-inr ratio might get higher later and prices of components can get higher. ;)

vkl Among all above members you understood what I really need.

For those who thinks i5 rig is best for me, I would love to see the i5 rig proposed by you.
