After installing sp2 i've had no problems except for the fact that Alcohol 120% doesnt install at all.

well lavan...go for sp2 but rem....do NOT upgrade from previous version...formats ur disks n go for a fresh install...its good for security reasons n keep an eye on any new release....all da best

On your existing windows version, slip-stream SP2 into WinXP CD.
Then format and re-install - gives all the speed of a new install, the security and stability of a SP2, saves time.
