windows xp task manger error!

am the administrator of the when i tries to open task manager it shows an error that it has disabled anyone know's how to enable it

Follow these steps:

1. Go to Start -> Run -> Write Gpedit.msc

2. Go to User Configuration -> Administrative Templates-> "System" -> "Ctrl+Alt+Del Options"

3. Verity thatRemove Task Manager option set to "Disable" or "Not Configured".

4. Close GPEDIT and Go to "Start" -> "Run" -> Write "gpupdate /force" and press on "Enter" button.

Hope this solves your problem.

Make a file called something.reg and write in the following:


Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System]
"DisableTaskMgr"=dword:0


Then merge it to registry......

Thats all....

You are probably infected with W32.Imaut worm, maybe, it spreads thr yahoo messenger, if u have cliked any link sayin coolpix(dot)net then be sure u are infected
