Windows Firewall Error

When i try to turn firewall for XP, here is error i get.

An error occured while Internet Connection Sharing was being enabled.

Cannot complete this function.

I usually dont use FW, seems there are some smart guys in ma lan.

it is being used by VIRUS !!!!

I dont think so there is any case of a virus. Check to see if The windows firewall service is running.
Type services.msc & go to Windows Firewall->It should be STarted->Automatic.
If not, click on its properties, & set state to automatic
If it doesn't work, you may have to reinstall SP 1 or 2, it came bundled with digit a few months ago.
