which programs/games/appelets shall i not be able to run after i may upgrade to win xp sp2( a little late though) ??? plz provide an exhaustive list...

Not really much, but almost all major ones now have SP2 support. Also you can run them via compatiblity which is inbuilt right (Win 2000)

I m not talking abt the latest softwares but some earlier ones....i read somewhere that some progs. have a prob while sp2 is installed....i need a list of those....( is/was that fact true?)

It was given in Digit a few times across the year ago. You can also order it from MS for the shipping price and also try download sites like Download.com or Softpedia.com maybe.

you'll not be able to run any game of convertix like tekken 3 , spiderman , etc.

Connectix you mean, that PS1 Emulator. Yes you can run it, there is a small SP2 patch for it to enable SP2 support.

I am not getting any incompatible issue for any program still now.

Am much sure all the new softwares & games will must work fine. u can get SP2 from old DIGIT’s CD/DVD or download it from Microsoft website. But make sure u r NOT using pirated copy of Microsoft WindowsXP.
After update (with SP2) your system’s stability will increase.
