i have got 512 mb system ram, but still after installing a few softwares and the drivers on a freshly installed windows xp installation, the boot process becomes extermely slow.
most of the times, after logging in, no icon on the desktop or start menu remain clickable...they kind of stop responding.
however, after i logoff using the task manager, and then relogin, everything's fine.
what's the problem?
i have made one dedicated partition for program files, and have altered the registry settings to point by default to tht partition for new program installations. is tht causing the trouble, since by default, the path is c:/program files, c being the drive where xp is installed.
help....
