Hello,
I use the computer for a long time during holidays (now)[approx 6 Hrs a day mainly for gaming, netting , C programming ]. I want to know if a antiglare screen [correct me if the term i used is wrong , its that glass they put over monitors in banks , right ?? ]can help . i dont think i strain my eyes , coz it aint continous 6 hrs , i look at the CRT monitor continously for a max of 30mins . What can i do to protect my eyes ?

If a antiglare screen is going to help . how much will it cost , which brand shud i go for ? I have a LG 700E 17' CRT monitor..
Thanks in advance...

If u r going for cheap brands i wud recommend frontech which is compact & effective than others.

Also u can try both anti glare coated specs+AntiGlare screen combo, specs will come handy during rain and at night, if u r a bike rider.

Yes antiglare definately gives some protection to your eyes.
Get one from any local brand.

.....i also wanted to buy an antiglare screen for my LG 700E 17" Crt ... but my vendor at Nehru Place said that these days the monitors are already 95 % AntiGlare and they dnt need such Screens .is it true ... coz i also use my Pc for 6-7 hrs daily on an average .......... also i wear Specs( the optical one ..not the antiglare type...) .. so i can only take anti glare screen if it is of some use ....

^^ Add an antiglare.. You'll notice the difference.. Its definitely a must.. and hardly costs 100 bucks, so its not a big issue..!

^^If u feel lcd is too bright even after decreasing brightness & contrast then u can try AntiGlare screen.

Yeah. Anti-glare screens are not required for LCD monitors. U can decrease brightness/contrast using the panel buttons. Thats enough. ;)
