Go to Settings>WiFi>Advance (pressing menu will bring up advance menu)> check if it has any support for changing channel. In my mobile this thing was there in Android 2.2 & 2.3 but no longer present in 4.0. So if its there, try changing channel.

Check if you have enabled the option to show SSID. Some routers have this option disabled to potect un authorized access.
