Why is LCD and LED same priced?

Hope this isn't the wrong section... but I seem to have gotten a liking for online shopping on Flipkart instead of running the risk of getting conned by shopkeepers on Lamington rd.

My friend made a purchase of around 15,000 INR a couple months back for a Dell 25inch LCD monitor.

Now when I check on FLIPkart that have started selling monitors, this LED
is almost the same price as this LCD.

As the size increases and perhaps different brands, the difference between LCD and LED is still neglible. So why would anyone go with LCD? Anything I am missing?

Simple answer: There are still many ppl who are less tech savvy and buys LCD ! So companies dont ever care 2lower prices of this ancient technology, coz they still sell at this inflated prices...
