which gfx card to buy among these?

if someone has the budget it's better to opt for the best gfx card he/she can afford regardless of monitor resolution IMO.

@ OP - try to get HD 6950 1GB Twin Frozr III Power Edition OC @ ~15k or Sapphire HD6950 1GB @ ~14k.

i want to, but the ~200W power consumption is a big drawback. compared to that, 7850 is much better @ 130W. saw the benchmarks at anandtech - impressive, i'd say.

acc to the link above HD6950 consumes only 41W more than HD7850 which is not a big deal considering the PSU you have but if you want to go with a HD6870 then consider getting R6870 Twin Frozr II

if i were having sb cpu with pcie-3 mb or plan to upgrade to those i will wait for a month and go with 7850 but since you are havin older core 2cpu and mb go for 2 or 3 choice
