Im looking for a good 790 G based board to pair with the phenom 9650.

Im looking for stability and a well designed board in the ATX form factor.

A SB750 southbridge board would be swell.

And could you guys do of a favour and post a full spec list and price as well? Coz my only access to the net now is through my phone since my old mobo died on me. :p

Have a look at Asus M3A 78-EM
it has everythin u can think bout, but is a micro ATX.
full solid capacitors
E-Sata
HDMI, DVI, display port, D-sub
latest Realtek 1200 codec
5 phase design
6 USB in rear
Black PCB
Lots of ocing features and rock solid

btw, i wud recommend u a Phenon II X3 like 720/X4 810 or 820 over PI X49650.
those new P2 are 45nm and has hell of ocing capability.

My suggestion is Biostar TA790GX 128M. Its based on the new 790G chipset and good for future upgrade (if u go for a Phenom II latter). It has the Advance Clock Calibration function which let u overclock ur Black Edition Phenom Like Hell. None of the 780G chipset boards support that function. It is having ATI HD 3300 Graphics core with 128 MB DDR3 (1333 Mhz) dedicated memory (Sideport Memory), 2 PCI Express X16 for crossfire, four 1066 Mhz DDR 2 Ram slot with 16 GB ram support, 12 USB and all the other things u want.
And the Price is just 5200k.

Thanks for your replies.

Ill go look for the biostar today.
If i dont find it i will go for the gigabyte.

How much of a price difference do you recon there will be between lamington road dealers and a nearby retailer. Coz i dont have the energy to go all the way to lamington.

Thank all you guys for your replies.

Ps: how much does arctic silver cost.

Thanks for all your help guys.

I settled on the Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2HP. Its an awesome board.

Although I found the biostar, The dealer warned me against it. He cited after sales problems. I also bought tuniq Tx-2 over AC5 as it was out of stock.
