Hi Guys,

I have got Windows XP Home Edition(SP2). File system is FAT 32. I heard that FAT 32 is not a safety one for any user. Then what File system is good and how to change my FAT 32 into any other File System. Your step by step will be useful for me to understand and change it accordingly.

yea ntfs is supposedly more secure than fat32... to format a partition to ntfs use any partition manager or just right click the partition > format > ntfs

NTFS is more secure than FAT32 or FAT. I suggest you to format your drive to NTFS.
The link given by s18000rpm will explain you how to do so.

If it is ur system drive that you want to convert without reinstalling your os, visit *www.aumha.org/win5/a/ntfscvt.php or
*www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/winxppro/maintain/convertfat.mspx

And NTFS is more secure and faster and reliable than FAT32

To convert ur FAT32 partition to NTFS, go to Command Prompt. Use utility "CONVERT".

For more help type there > convert /?

ex. c:\>convert D: /FS:NTFS
