well anindya i read somehwher in the post that next time u encounter such a situation if possible ask for the same in writing.. we've done this quite q few times in public sector banks etc.. they really start panicking if u r a confident guy who'll stand ur ground(typical bullies!!)

as for complaining to the GM, i appreciate ur efforts.. not many of us do that thinking the hierarchy will be the same.. but its different specially if the GM is not very old... they usually respond or atleast take note of this.. and if ten of us complain its bound to have some effect..the mentality has changed quite a lot among the top lot.. who understant the need to be efficient.. but they need something in written(typical govt problem)

No such thing.. just a normal courtsey to fellow human beings..once I seen a young teen argue with a senior Officer(who is nearing his reitirement day just a couble of weeks,calling him name (worse in dictionary)...Even in a street if you see a stranger,nearing his sixty, could not you call him by your native courtesy..It is not only in BSNL, but wherver you see some elderly people,engage them as you engage to your elderbrothers( even they don't returned the courtesy)

About making complaint, to be sure, you have already taken the matter with DE(MOBILE SERVICE)..Out of 10 people who have met with such situation only one will prefer the complaint to higher level..If you emulate that one person atleast BSNL will ride of undesirous, throughly to the service of peoples.. BSNL management has no through evaluation of its performance in its organisation, but only through webportals, consumer forums etc.,

vaithy's reply wass pretty to the point regarding the complaint thing..

bout being corteous i guess its understood, no one likes to see some young fellow abusing an elder man even if he's incompetent.. and after reading anindya's conversation i think he's been more than corteous.. i believe the trick is to be firm and polite.. not abusive... ant to ask in writing is when u encounter people who shirk work or when they turn abusive... believe me there are people who abuse the customers too..

I know..they can't do anything for customers..but atleast they can speak good. :p

The process u mentioned here about sim verification is for the new customers. But as i mentioned that this sim is given for free if one has a landline. So the process of address is out of question.

Before the TRAI's directive come..mobile services simply accepted landline customers.but now,TRAI is insisting the personal verification of officers concerned of each mobile connection and their current address irrespective whether they are landline customer or not..o
Your application is now pending before DE(MOBILE SERVICES) find out who he is..If your addresses is Geniune.. he is found to give the connection immediately.. You may file complaints through e mails in the same portal, while doing so, give the link of this forum, so GM know the feelings of the public

problem is we take every thing personally :p its business relation !!! deal with it... so follow their procidure which says its all about written comunication... when u go in written as Dark_lord said it will take some time but the results a impressesive !!!!

also when u do written comunication with eash letter u are adding up proof which u will see coming handy if ever u neeed to fight BSNL at court :D

So Uncle / Sir / GM / CM what ever and where ever , all u need to do is comunicate in written !!!
