I have a fully functional seagate hard disk 40 GB 7200 rpm dated 2003. But the problem is that suddendly.......
1. Comp does not detect the hdd to boot. It says "Select proper boot media"
2. When tried to install Xp from bootable CD... it does not recognise the disk
3. When connected in slave mode on another pc ... The device had to be detected using ADD NEW HARDWARE WIZARD and Then also it shows in system properties but does not shows in MY COMPUTER and COMPUTER MANAGEMENT CONSOLE........
Can anyone tell me how to use this drive.......... also can anyone tell me service center of SEAGATE in MUMBAI.... I know its in Andheri but where and phone number..............
