UPS buying advice

Hi,

I'd like to buy a UPS that'll give 5-10 minutes backup to save my work. I have Corsair CX600 PSU and Dell U2312HM monitor. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

APC 1.1KVA @ 5.5k BTW post your complete config and your budget also.

PSU - Corsair CX600
CPU - i5 3570k.
Cooler - Hyper 212 EVO+
Motherboard - ASUS Maximus V Gene
RAM - Corsair 8 GB DDR3
HDD - WD Black 1 TB
Monitor - Dell U2312HM

I'll buy a HIS R9 280X or ASUS GTX 760 DCII OC soon. Budget around INR 6,000. Can you give me a link to the particular model?

After searching a little on google, I'm thinking about buying a home inverter with pure sine wave output instead. What do you guys think?

It wont work for PC,coz the delay is higher in inverter than UPS,hence your PC will shutdown damaging components like HDD and Motherboard.

Pure sine wave is preferred with active pfc. That's what I've gathered from googling. If I do buy the apc ups you mentioned, will it negatively impact the psu?

Nope, not really. Though its not recommended.
But everyone is using such UPS these days.
No one goes with a Pure Sine wave UPS. They are costly.

Every discussion on this topic says otherwise. It's just that I don't want the psu to die on me because of it.
