unwanted download

hi.
When I use internet, idm automatically shows to download the following file.

C:\Users\Amrutansu\Downloads\st_8

from: *ad.yieldmanager.com/st?anmember=54...CB15-C28C-4FF9-BAF1-0670EBC6B971}&h=250&w=300


the size of the st_8 file is 4.29 KB.
It first showed st_1 then st_2 and so on.
When I download one,the second one shows up.It causes problem while typing especially.

Is this because of a virus or some mis-configuration?

I wanted to attach the snapshot of idm and the downloaded file but uploading failed for snapshot and file type was unknown for the downloaded file.

Please help soon.

mis config, plz re install ur IDM if still the problem does not clear the clear ur registry first by using some tools like wise registry cleaner and add an exception in IDM menu settings...........

Update IDM and your browser.

Go to Options in IDM,
under File Types Tab >>
add this under Don't start downloading automatically downloading from this sites:

Disable automatic download in your download manager,

Also disable ads using Ad block, since the source of download seems like is originating through some kind of popup ads.
