How do I uninstall IE from my pc.
Who uses this sluggy and boring software, I got Firefox and Mozilla

Never try to remove Internet Explorer from Windows, as many of its files r required for proper functioning in windows
Its hardcoded in windows, and u can never get rid of it completely!
Many software claim to do it but don't work properly!

@shakshy: As vishal says never try to remove IE otherwise other programmes that require IE will be malfunctioned.

Many other softwares required IE to be installed on system to work properly

Setting any other browser (for ex. Firefox) as Default, doesnt set it default for everything!
Internally any program, which use Rendering of HTML pages, or the files of Internet Explorer (like browselc.dll, etc.), depend upon Internet Explorer.
And if u'll remove it completely, such programs will stop working properly and ur system will become malfunctioning

He must be having spywares and adwares on his PC. U should scan ur PC with Spybot s&d and Ad-aware

Go to add\remove programs->Add remove Windows component in Windows XP. If it's some other Windows then plz state.

There u can uncheck Internet Explorer, this will uninstall the IE frontend & application. However the IE Trident engine, & rendering engine cannot be removed from Windows at all.
