unable to install far cry 2

I have far cry 2 game (3.67 GB)
when I try open it then it shows "choose the program you want to use to open this file"
Its property shows ,type of file as "file"
plz help

its extension is "file"
plz see the attached image

Open Computer (My Computer)
Select Folder and Search Options from Organize drop down menu
Go to View Tab
There would be checkbox for "Hide Extensions for known file types". Uncheck it and then post the full name of the file here.

But in folder and search option ,it is already unchecked.
far cry 2 is showing only "file" in file extension

if its not legit, its possibly an iso image. try appending ".iso" to it and see if it changes over to iso.

if not then open up daemon tools and manually mount from inside DT.

if none of this works, its probably your karma trying to tell you not to cheat the devs and buy a legit copy ;)

yeah .iso works!!
I just renamed it to farcry2.iso
It changed to iso

Yeah no problem. I was expecting this thats why I asked you for the extension.
Extension is always after the "." when you uncheck the Hide Extensions option.
