Unable to install BSNL ADSL Modem as it not properly uninstalled

Recently my computer was affected by virus and I had to delete few s/w without properly uninstallling them. I also deleted some key in registry.

Thereafter when I completely removed virus and other malware from my sys I upgraded with an SP2 WinXP CD. Now when I'm trying to install the ADSL software it says first uninstall the software properly.

Any solution ?

formatted and reinstalled a fresh copy of winxpsp2 and reinstalled the modem. still didn't work. called a technician. he installed his modem. everything worked fine. he took my modem. repaired it and returned. now everything fine.

No need to worry....just create a new connenction in windows xp and connect your modem using la cable and it will work fine..
