Unable to Detect SEAGATE Barracuda 500GB 7200.12 SATA HARD DISK?

My system configuration is..

Intel Pentium Dual Core 820 Processor 2.80GHz
Intel D101ggc MotherBoard,LGA 775 Socket with 4 Sata Port..
1.5GB RAM=(1+512)
SEAGATE 80GB IDE HARD DISK
SEAGATE Barracuda 500GB 7200.12 SATA HARD DISK
AMD Radeon HD 6670 Graphics Card
IBALL 400W SMPS..

Iam newly bought 500GB Sata hard disk, I installed xp working fine, next day unable to detect 500GB Hard disk,
iam connect 500Gb hard disk alone some times detected some times not detected..

I replaced both cables newly (power & Data) three times same problem. plz suggest...

After one week purchased i return to warranty, They replaced, i get new 500gb hard disk. Still same problem unable to detect..after some reviews in sites iam put a jumper settings in Sata hard disk to minimize speed limit to 1.5Gb/s, still same problem...

Q1. My mother board is capable or not...(few years back i connected SATA 250GB working fine..)

Q2. Any settings in Bios..

Q3. My Smps capable or not...

Iam totally confusing..Plz suggest with proceduers....what to do....

try with graphics card removed.your smps is of poor quality btw.

Bad SMPS. Can't power everything up in your rig.
