Ubuntu 6.10 Installation from Hdd

Hi there guys

downloaded the iso from ubuntu but my writer is messed up (wasted 6 cd's trying writting the iso)

is THERE ANY WAY OF INSTALLING THE UBUNTU FORM THE HDD dump like Windows

if there is can u please help me
