Torrent Download Issues

I am downloading a ver large file of 1.18 GB and download is just 66MB remaining. It gets over 50 seeders and 200 leechers but keeps dropping data. Over 400MB of data has been dropped. It is not going beyond 66MB. I tried changing trackers but did not worked.

I downloaded a new torrent for same file from other site and started download. It showed only 35MB remainig as downloaded files got detected automatically. But it is also stuck.

I tried PeerGuardian 2.0 and it also does not work. What to do? I can't use already downloaded files as it is a split archive.

it mite be a fake torrent

these r really rare but u come across them sometimes...companies put em online 2 discourage ppl from dloading songs n stuff

i think ur gonna hafta find a diff torrent for a diff file...make sure its different

Torrent is not fake as the same torrent is available everywhere and I already downloaded so much good data also. Its that everybody is dropping it now.

What? This is not kazaa or limewire. Torrents downloads can't stop themselves at some ratio. In BT everything is handled P2P, in case you didn't know. Even a tracker can't dictate how much you can download. It's the peers that you are downloading from.
I don't exactly know what might be causing your problem, but try stopping the torrent for sometime and then starting it again. Or, if ur client allows it, ban the current set of peers that you are downloading from to connect to a different set of them.

Fake torrents do exist, but that is not the problem here as he sees 50+ seeds and peers. Most fake trackers will "inject" peers too to look busy, but fake trackers themselves are very rare now, afaik.
