Tell me whether the two AMD and INTEL configurations are good and will be functional or not.

Hey I have made two high end configurations, and one is AMD and the other one is of INTEL.
Please check it, and tell me if it would run without any problems and if it is worth considering or not. You can add points or suggestions if you feel like. Important is, whether these two systems would be functional or not. I have kept that in mind and then chalked out these configurations, but still want it to be confirmed from you people.

1> AMD:-

PROCESSOR: AMD FX 8150 Processor - Rs.12,688 (8 cores)

MOTHERBOARD: ASUS CROSSHAIR V Formula Motherboard - Rs. 15927

GRAPHICS CARD: MSI AMD R6790 - PM2D1GD5/OC 1 GB GDDR5 Graphics card - Rs.8,467

HARD DISK: WD Caviar Blue 500GB HDD - Rs.4,000

RAM: G.Skill F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL - Rs.3100

PSU: Corsair CMPSU-800GUK PSU(800W) - Rs.7245

2> INTEL:-

PROCESSOR: Intel i7-2600K - 17,500 (6 cores)

MOTHERBOARD: ASRock Extreme 7 Gen3 - Rs.18,000

GRAPHICS CARD: ASUS 550Ti - Rs.8,000

HARD DISK: WD Caviar Blue 500GB HDD - Rs.4,000

RAM: G.Skill F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL - Rs.3100

if you dont Overclock you dont need a 800w PSU. a Corsair GS600 will be enough

replace the 550Ti with a HD 6790 and it's a perfect config :)

What is the purpose of the PC ? IF it is Gaming , THEN Definitely NO .
IF it is video rendering , Multitasking etc then OK.

BMG ftw!!
Get Asus P8Z77-v pro @17K instead of that extreme7.

And as graphics card, get: any Readon HD7770 @8K.
550ti is bad card when compared with other cards in that price range. Same thing can be said about 6790.

Okay, let me clear that, this is not at all a gaming rig. This is simply a config for a friend of mine, who wants to spend his dad's money for a PC. He is not into gaming and so I have kept the GPU part low.

Ok. Then change the motherboard with the Asus one suggested by me. There is no point of buying a 17K Asrock board.

Well, first of all i'm not sure what are you going to do with GTX 550ti + i7 2600k or 6790 + FX8150 Configuration ??

Are you planning to Play Games or trying to do something crazy ?? A High END Quad Core + High end Mobo with mere Cards like 550ti or 6790 doesn't sounds good buddy.

Mostly i would suggest you to fill this template in order to get the most optimum configs.

Buy ASUS P8Z68-V/GEN3 Motherboard @ 14k instead of wasting your money on ASRock Motherboard.
Better get a Seagate 500 GB 7200 rpm HDD @3.9k instead of WD caviar blue and get Asus HD 7770 Direct CU 1 GB GDDR5 Graphics Card@ 11k. GTX 550 TI is an old generation slower card but HD 7770 is much faster and significantly smoother in computing works.
