Hi,

Can anyone please suggest an UPS for the following system configuration?

1. AMD Phenom II x6 1055t
2. Gigabyte GA-880G-UD3H
3. G.Skill Ripjaws F3-12800CL9S-4GBRL
4. Corsair VX450W
5. Cooler Master Elite 430
6. 500GB seagate SATA
7. 24" LED AOC monitor

I read some posts and it seems people favor APC 1.1KVA .. how much does this cost? My Max budget is 5k.

Get the APC

800VA

OR

1100VA 4.5k

I think the 800VA will do for you. I have the ^ one for my rig. Sig.

Of course it's APC. And you can either go for 1000 VA White or 1100 VA Black. Both will cost around 4.5k.

Does he need to go for a 1.1KVA?

He can save some money by going for the 800VA, which will do the job.

Buddy APC 800VA costs higher than APC 1.1KVA model because it has automatic power off software.

You are right. I was wonedring why it looks white like the 1KVA one with auto shut down feature. Is there a 800VA without the autoshut down feature?

For that rig APC 600VA will do fine

^ Yeah even I though so but since he was looking at the 1.1KVA one I though the 800VA is a sweet spot.

OP how long are your power outages?

Power outages are short but very frequent.
And i will be adding GPU after some time.. most probably 5770..

And will 1.1KVA be sufficient for using the AOC 24" monitor? i was expecting it to draw more power...

^^For 5770+24" monitor, APC 800VA would suffice...

But a 5770 wont give full glory in FullHD gaming...

If you have the budget then get the APC 1.1KVA hands down. Even I have the same, along with many users in this forum. Saying its the best is debatable but it is definitely good.

If you are planning to upgrade your config then keeping future upgrades in mind get a APC 1.1KVA otherwise 800va is enough.
