Suggestion for gaming rig @ 55k

1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: Gaming and browsing making some school projects but my friend needs a new rig to play all latest games! :)

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 50k to 55k

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: No

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Windows 7

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 500 GB

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: Yes 720p 22inch

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: keyboard

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: This month or Next month

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: No

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Delhi

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: No

For pure gaming on today's date i5 is better..
Also i doubt not many games will use as many as 8 cores(atleast till nxt year)..
but for absolute VFM FX 8350 is good..

if ur frnd wasnts to go for fx 8350 then its cool..just add an cpu cooler for tht..!!!

u can also consider benq 22inch moniters...i m using it and very satisfied with its performance....!!!!!!!

I am using 8gb g-skill ram and FX 8350 for gaming with hd 7950 GPU so he needs fx-8350 and 8gb

Anyways;

FX 8350 (12000)
Asus M5A97 R2.0 (7000)
G.Skill RipjawsX 8 GB (4400)
WD Blue 500 GB (3200)
Seasonic S12II 420W (3600)

NZXT Gamma (2500)
Asus optical drive (1000)
Dell S2240L (8500)

total: 42200

only 3k left for GPU. Even if you go for a cheaper monitor, you'll save a maximum of 1k. No other component can be compromised.

My suggestion:

FX 6300 (7500)
Gigabyte 970A DS3 (5600)
G.Skill RipjawsX 4 GB (2300)
WD Blue 500 GB (3200)
Seasonic S12II 430W (3600)
Asus HD7790 (11500)
NZXT Gamma (2500)
Dell S2240L (8500)
Asus optical drive (1000)

total: 45700

If you can manage an extra 2k, get Asus M5A97 R2.0 instead of the gigabyte board.
