suggest me a new graphic card..

i currently use nvidea 9400gt(i accept its old)but one of the best in its clas and is still working good. but now the tech has grown up pretty well that some games r not even supported by my card(eg.. crysis 2)...
my queries r
1. what r the important things to be seen before buying a new one..?
2.my current one gives a fps of 15.. should i overclock it.?does it increase its performance?
3.if second question is of no use,what is the best graphic card to buy below 5000

Below 5k Radeon 5670 512MB DDR5 is the best you can get. It costs 4.3k. But if you can shed out a little more then you can Radeon 6670 1GB DDR5 at 5.5k. It will be a better choice over the 5670 512MB.

4gb ram(running on win 7 sp1 64 bit),2.93ghz intel core 2 duo processor,500gb hard disk..
19.5inch monitor (sony aoc resolution:1366*768)..how much does6670 cost?

Also the monitor should be 18.5", not 19.5" because only 18.5" displays are having 1366X768 res
