Suggest Inkject Printer below 8k

Can someone suggest inkJet printer below 8k.

Only need black and white printing.

It will be good if cartridge replacement price is low.

For B&W you can get a laser printer with more yield and better quality.

Low cost per page printing.

Thanks Sarath for the info. This is for home use, not lot of printing. So i want one that last long. Laser printer work with out much problems ?

yes they do last long.. also the refilling is easy and cheap..
get HP P1009.. cheap and best Laser b & w printer

Inkjets have a higher running costs while lasers have a higher initial investment. However even in a 6month run a laser is cheaper than an inkjet.

For your budget there are many B&W laser printers. I do not know of specific models but I guess they start from 5k onwards.

I asked local dealer, they said P1007 is not available. The model available is HP LaserJet 1020, what do you think about this model ?

As you will be ocassionaly printing in BnW so going for laser printer is a good idea. For laser printers i would suggest you to go with Samsung ones. They seem to offer more VFM than HP and also have many features. The models you should be looking at are:
1. Samsung ML-1676 -- around 4.8k
2. Samsung ML-1866 -- around 7k

And AFAIK there is only one HP Laserjet available i.e P1007 and it costs around 5.5k

just saw my epson pixmax lying beside my computer table , bought this printer with initial color cartridge for Rs.1200/- nd now oriiginal cartridge itself is costing 1000 bucks , and to be frank we buy printer but do we really use it , i bought it some years ago for taking printouts and then once we go to this literally stops, we take printout everyting in office printer ;) and for inkjet you need to be carefull because if once in a week / fortnight u dont use it its ink dries ive got two cartridges and refilling also not possible and now to spend about 500 in getting a compatible cartridge seems useless to me , now i think why i bought the printer, so seriously if you are not goign to use it frequently dont buy it ,,,

in office we bought one new dot matrix printer for printing payslips etc

EPSON LQ - 300 + II costaround 9999 rs, but prints well and makes lot of noise which is peculiar feature of DMP but todays DMP print as good as laser ones ;)
