AMD Athlon II X4 635 @ 4000
Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2H @ 4000
2GB Kingston/Corsair DDR3 1333Mhz RAM @ 1200
BenQ G2220 Full HD monitor @ 7200
1TB Seagate 7200.12 Hard Disk @ 2800
LG 22x DVD Writer SATA @ 900
CM 310 Elite cabinet @ 1500
FSP Saga II 400w PSU @ 2000
Logitech keyboard + mouse combo @ 500
Creative SBS A200 2.1 speakers @ 1200

Total = 25300 (excluding headphones)

Headphones - your choice.

The above is my base line. You can get an Athlon II X3 440 or a cheaper cabinet if you want to save money. FSP Saga II 350w @ 1500 would also be fine as far as PSU is concerned. Local PSU brands are to be avoided. It's better to spend extra as far as security is concerned. Gigabyte GA-MA785GMT-US2H @ 3400 would also be fine.

I'd prefer Altec Lansing VS2621 @ 1800 as far as speakers are concerned, but then you have your budget limitations.

OP,
you just did the opposite. Go with the CPU and MoBo Jaskanwar has suggested. By the way both of your prices for for MoBo and CPU have interchanged :-D but Jassy's config is much powerful than yours.

By the way you can surely cut down prices by getting a 500GB HDD now, but a good quality PSU is must. Atleast get FSP SAGA II 350W at 1.5k.

@op

Bad choice of psu buddy. Change it when you go for a discrete gpu.

U read my mind dude. Thats why i did not went for a premium psu when he is not going for a graphic card for now. Psu prices might come down in future along with graphic cards. So when he decides to buy a gpu its better he gets a psu too along with it which is premium and as per the gpu requirements. I do not understand the fuzz of getting a high premium psu even for a basic config when the guy wud be happy with his integrated gpu 70% of the time. Seeing most ppl on this forum are somewhat budget constraint its not advisable to advice them 1.5k psu even when they r building a basic system with no separate gpu on it. Maybe some of you guys can suggest some good psu+cabinet combos from you exp which can help these budget users. i was alot into assembling 5 years ago and now am somewhat stranger to the new architecture (those where the days when i was in college and used to do it for pocket money :)) but now with my job its very rare to get request now maybe sometimes. In those days too we used to buy psu from iball or intex and i do believe some of them lasted for 2-3 years because the person was a casual user of pc. I always try to find a config knowing that person requirement and just wanted to provide him with the best bang for his buck. Hdd was required as he is alot into movies and foreign hd series (lost, prison break, californication , etc). These series easily consume 20-30 gig so his 500 gb won't even last for a couple of months.
