I got Gigabyte G31m -es2l with Dual Core 3.0.

Basically is this the motherboard which is affected by flaw in Intel chipset design

Can you suugest a good mbd for Dual core 3,0 or Core 2 Duo 1.7

^^ No that mobo and chipset ain't affected and that mobo is good enough for a Dual Core @ 3 Ghz or C2D @ 1.7Ghz.

I had bought MSI G41M-P26 board and found this true VFM.
And please mention your budget from now onwards to let us help you in a better way.

both mobos are similar ( sans NB/SB chip and IGP performance ) and OPs mobo supports DDr2 mem only - so if is not facing any issues with his mobo he should stick with it and for improving gfx performance ( if he wants to ) he can get a gfx card like GT240 @ 3.3k.
