My laptop is going to arrive very soon (finally) :hap2:

All the laptops that I have seen till now have very bad speakers and audio is barely audible on them.

I want to buy a portable 2.0 speaker set for use with laptops.

It would be preferable if they don't require a power supply or are powered by USB port.
I am not looking for audio quality. I am looking for something on which I will watch some odd movie every week. The voices should be clearly audible during daytime(I live in a place which is not too noisy. Its not beside the road and so the area is a bit silent).
The speakers on the Lenovo laptop of my brother are pathetic. I cant even hear what is being said even in near silent zones.

Budget: Less than 1k. The lower the price the better.

Did a search on ebay and here are the results : usb 2.0 speaker, Computers Peripherals items at low prices on eBay India

The Logitech R5 ,R10, Creative SBS A35, Philips MMS1010 looked interesting to me.

Does anyone know how these perform???

The Philips MMS1010 is powered by USB.
By what method are the Logitech and the Creative speakers powered???

<BUMP>

Can anyone suggest me a speaker set?

Are the iBall, Genius and Mercury speakers which cost around Rs.300-500 any good?
