Suggest a ~11K mobile...

Fine, I'll get the W890i but even then I'll have to wait for some time. Till 11K is the responsibility of my father and if I want to go further, then I'll have to pay on my own for that......

moto rokr has crap sound..if u wanna watch vids moto is the best..the cam is crap too..get the w890..u wont regret it..and it will future proof u...

Moto rokr does not have a what you have so grace fully called "CRAP SOUND". i agree it is not as good as the w series cus i own one. But it has some features that the SE lacks. like it has a Linux based OS which is a huge + for a app hungry guy. it is one of the most moddable phone that i have evr come across.

So please do some research before you start criticizing a product. Makes u look like a Noob!

@napster +1 .i will never buy a phone i can not customize heavily according to my needs. therefore i prefer symbian,windows and linux phones anyday over SE or Moto. i was getting a N95 but found some features like gps r useless for me and its too costly in comparison to similar phones. so now i am getting a N73 me coz all i need is gud cam and music. 3.2 and 5mp does not makes much difference so N73 me is much better at half the price of n95 8gb

with w810i you get excellent camera too like k750i

let me state a few downsides of the mobile

SOund-Doesnt come close to what SE has to offer at that price..
Security-getting a decice connected through bluetooth was a hell of a prob..u had to pair that thing by the password and then u can recieve or send files
Camera-less than average cam
Apps-Not too many apps to boast about
Crap after sales service
Slightly slow Ui(tht differs frm person to person)

well a dedicated mp is really something many people will think.

No I can make the counts, because sony W series phones are good style phones + they have real good walkman features( you can compare with the sounds of original sony mps or apple pods, I would recommend mps for people who wanna increase no.s I can recommend apple iTouch(= iPhone - camera and call functunality) to anyone with phone because its supports many apps and java, and many apps can be installed on it too.

And if you really are app hungry then nothing can beat symbian( the whole idea of symbian sponsored by nokia, sony and all for building as mobile OS is to pull out Windows Mobile

And the truth the best sounding phone is N91 and it got flop many reasons

if you have known Moto at all then you will know that this is not a Drawback but a security feature which has been embedded in every BT enabled MOTO.

Again this is not a drawback and the need of this feature depends upon person to person!

and this feature in the rokr can be disabled by the 3rd party hacks. This is y it is one of the most highly custamizable phones.

Are u frikkin kidding me?? This phone is based on linux and there are tons of apps available for it. once u've installed a custom firmware the apps are count less.

some media players even play all major vid formats like .avi etc.

U'r just blabbering out what ever comes to your head!! it's service is as good as any other brand. (i own a moto) i have never been dissapointed by their service. They are damn punctual.

that is because it runs on an operating system unlike the SE which is mostly based on Java.

takling about slow.....have u evr used the nokia phones.(no offence). I'm not saying that Nokia is very slow but compared....the rokr is faster.

Damn..

I could have been getting a W660i as it has all the features of W890i. It is even cheap too. It has a 2megapixel camera which is okay for me instead of 3.2megapixel of W890i but it doesn't have EDGE, so I don't want to get it. EDGE is important for me for surfing the net.......

Amd64_man2005 is a true sony fan . I wonder if he
is working as an undercover agent to promote SE . I am new to this forum but i have read almost all the threads and amd man is always backing SE. Well it is not just in this forum but even in orkut when i was browsing in nokia 5700 community , i saw him present there and guess what , he is backing Sony erickson , I wonder why . And finally no hard feelings to anyone. We post in this forum only to help someone make up his mind on some model and not promote any brand. I am not againts sony but i certainly dont comment any negative things about any model if i dont have any proper knowledge about it.

@napster...my friend had his battery blown off..and he had to order the battery from delhi coz the sales guy dint have ne batteries under stock..then again..he bricked his phone..and got it back after a month...i dont call tht good service...


i mean u wont find ne good pre-written apps for ur moto..but if ur a programmer u can customize the os to ur own good...



@rohan-yep..i m a sony fan and i dont think anyone in this forum should have any problem to that..and please..if u have anything to say about my activities outside this forum..then please do so with sufficient proof...i bought a nokia when sony did not suffice for me and now am back with sony...i back sony coz i feel its the best and i will stick by it...

sorry gagan for being offtopic-yea..the W890 is a 1 cum thick metal strip which includes a 3.2 mp cam and walkman 3 with edge,3g and all other connectivity options...its also on the a200 platform so it also supports a wifi attachment...

u can go for the w610 which i edge i presume if u want to stick to walkman 2..

btw have u tried the w830??..great phone..luks super c00l

Yea..it is not bad to be a fanboi...
The thing which keeps me away from nokia is the repetitive design of the UI and phones,,,and im not bothered with low software support..etc
