Strange problem with surfing!

Recently I observed that its taking a long time for me to open any site using my browser. I thought I have some virus on my PC so I scanned it once and then installed another Antivirus and did a scan but still the problem persists. However I'm able to download using Internet Download Manager and u torrent at good speeds. What could be the problem? I use Mozilla Browser but the problem persists with IE and Opera too! Some times the problem is I can't open a webpage which I have set as home page. I have to continously hit enter for the browser to go to that page. However this is altogether a different issue which happens on and off!

Seems like a dns related problem. Try switching to OpenDns service

try to surf in safe mode.
Also create another another account.........turn off all firewall, antispywares, antivirus , and internet security.
And than try to surf internet.

Something must be blocking http port.
