start menu got empty

i have windows vista home premium installed
my start menu<all programs has got empty its left with nothing except ie some other few progarms
i can not find anything in my all programs menu
no programs is uninstalled all software installed are working .........

I had the same problem a while back. i didn't know where all the programs went and as i went to empty the recycle bin at the end of the day i saw all the programs there i just selected them and restored and my problem was solved.

Maybe you indvertantly deleted contents from the C:\Users\Name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs folder. You will have to unhide this folder to see it. You can create shortcuts of progs you want and put them in it or try a System Restore.
