sound card in my pc has a spdif jack but my 2.1 speaker system dont. so how can i connect my speakers with sound card via spdif?? do i need a reciever for this?
s/pdif is not meant for 2.1 systems.it is meant for 5.1 & higher systems so leave it.also using s/pdif requires configuring it correctly in player software as well as system settings & if you don't know what you are doing you will face a lot of issues.

so no need of reciever.... only sound card will do ...right??
i meant to say forget about s/pdif port & simply use the audio out port(every pc/sound card has one) to connect your 2.1 speakers(which everybody do).
