sony xperia ion battery drains fast

Hi,
one week back I brought sony xperia ion(LT28h) but its battery is draining in 6-7 hours even phone is in idle...nearly 60% of the drain is caused by android system.currently i am using ICS 4.0.4 is there any solution to fix it?

initial battery drain will be high. keep using it for a week more and battery drain will get lower.

Repeat this 2-3 times

- Charge the phone slowly using PC USB till 100%.

- Let the battery drain down to 0% (auto shutdown) slowly. Would be better if you let the battery drain mostly with screen OFF

Yes more or less. Initial drain is large for all phones.

Gone are the days you charge a phone once in two days.
A phone just goes through a days usage and has to be fully charged for the next day.

yes experiencing the same with Nexus 4. after draining completely and charging again, its good now.
