some help building my cpu

After reading threads here and I have finalized my processor to i3 2100. well my budget is 25k maximum 28k. And i would be playing games online like aoe2 , aoe3(which i am playing on my pentium4 now), cod4 and 5(if possible). can u suggest some motherboards.....i.e. should invest less on motherboard and more on graphic card as i'm tight on budget. i lost my track seeing number companics and graphics card seies....... so some help would be useful. i have to buy this within next 5 days.... thanx in advance. bear with me plz this is my first post on Thinkdigit.

A:i am from city ratnagiri maharashtra. i am not going to mumbai or pune to buy new cpu

if you want to reduce price a bit
then go for GTS 450 1gb @ 6k instead of HD 5770

terrific budget build.

I have a 5770 on my bro's build and its awesome.but remember its an EOL card.Try to get 6770 which is actually a rebrand available at similar price (sapphire model at techshop.in).

Intel Core2Quad is history now and Athlon II quad cores perform far better than the similarly priced or little over priced C2Q processores.

Core i5 quad core processors are more powerful than AMD offerings but they also cost you a lot more and cannot be accommodate in a budget rig of 30-35K. Otherwise you have to get a very low end GPU which will end up your gaming dream.
So better go with the Piyush' suggestion.

core2 quads are defunct and core i5's are expensive (nehalem & sandybridge).

At your budget, go for piyush's system. Its extremely value for money. Also go for benq 22inch fullhd model @ 7.3k.

Intel Core i5/i7 2XXX is much much better than any AMD processor you can buy. Intel Core i3 2XXX or the last generation Core i* (the ones with 3 digit nos) are not good buys. but problem with your rig is budget. so to get max performance, go with piyush's suggested rig.

Core2Quad Q8*** is slower than Athlon II X4s. only the costlier 9-series can match them. but now its of no use to talk about them as they are no longer available & replaced by Core i series. Core i5 2XXX is way faster than any Core2Quad or AMD AthlonII/PhenomII.
