shutdown problwn in winxp Home.

hiii.. please do help me out with a strange problem in winxp.
i am having win98se in parallel with winxp.have an ATX cab.in win98se system shuts down normally till power LEDs go off but in winxp...it displays.."NOW ITS SAFE TO TURN YR COMPUTER OFF" and i am bound to shut off power by switch.please solute this frnds.thanks to you all.

Its a common problem for Win XP.

Goto: Start -> Run and type regedit.

Now nevigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon and change the value of PowerdownAfterShutdown to 1 ( create new DWORD value if not exists ).
