Hey guys , i have WD caviar blue 320 gb hard disk and it's still in warranty. I noticed lately that it was slow for access , so i formatted it by deleting the partition and making it new partition hard disk again. I ran the Data Lifeguard Diagnostics tests on it and at the end of extended test, blue screen appears and system reboots. This has happened twice on this test of hard disk. Should i send it for replacement?

Need your help guys.

I have installed Hard Disk sentinel, there is short self-test, extended self test, surface test etc. Which test should i run?

before running all these extensive tests simply install crystaldiskinfo & post the S.M.A.R.T values/screenshots here.

ultradma crc error count raw value is 36f68(in normal number system that's 225128 errors).change the sata cable, paste a file into this drive & then check again ultradma crc error value.if it remains same problem solved else change cable again(trust me cheap sata cable usually fails in group).

no,all values are fine.for future reference give special attention to raw values of reallocated sectors count, reallocation event count, current pending sector count & uncorrectable sector count.as you can see current raw values of all these are still zero even after 13238 hours of hard disk usage.for other values see that their current & worst values don't drop close to threshold values.also always keep a backup of your important data in other location(dvd/other hdd) because these values do not provide a 100% guarantee.

I replaced the cable today, pasted a 16 mb file into the drive and the error count remains the same! Any further ideas, is anything wrong with my drive?
