search based on image.

hi,
is there any application or something, by which we can search an image and find results for the image.!
like if i have a Sachin photo,then uploading the photo and by clicking search, i should get details of Sachin and results based on Sachin.!!

i know its too difficult because an image has to be scanned and results should be produced.!
or if such an application has to developed any ideas of how to do it.!?
