Screenlets problem???

I have installed ubuntu 8.04??? I installed comiz+emerald+screenlets... Compiz and emerald are working fine.... The screenlets icon is displayed in the bar beside the volume icon but i am unable to start it(means i cannot choose the widgets to display and no widgets are being displayed)... I also tried removing and reinstalling it... But to no avail.... Please help me in this as i am new 2 linux...

I think you disabled extra effects in the appearance menuso try enabling it

dude... it worked but i want to keep my settings in compiz along with screenlets... so can u tell me how 2 do it....

Try installing Compiz Config Setting Manager(CCSM).
