Samsung galaxy ace s5830i boot problem

Today when i was updating my samsung galaxy ace s5830i with Icecream Sandwich (from gingerbread) through SD card update (downloaded as zip files), the update completed within 20 secs and gave a message Installation successful. After that i rebooted. Rebooting got stuck at samsung galaxy ace s5830i logo itself. Is there any way to bring my phone back to life. Kindly give some inputs.

Thanks for the reply sam. I first read your thread on android customization. Followed some guides on xda developer forum and brought my mobile back from bricking [hope the term bricking that i learnt is correct ]. I even bumped upon a thread which had Team Digit custom rom but the download link was not available.

Anyway i learnt something.
