Hi Guys, if I purchase something big from eBay, do I need road permit ? If yes how to obtain that and and what can be the consequence of not having a road permit ?

better drop this idea. around 10% of the shipped pc part price has to given as tax. then you have to ship the permit back to the seller. too much pain for a pc cabinet. instead email SMC as they don't require any permit or try flipkart. i guess you want Lianli or similar cabby.
can obtain the permit by fillup a form at Sales Tax office (requires a bill of the applied merchandise) but whole day will be wasted running from place to place.

ohh... but tax is 4% as per sales tax dept website. Anyway, okay, flippy is better than though 200/300 costly.
