There are so many threads discussing which is a better device based on hardware. But its the apps installed on the phone which makes it stand out from other.

So this is where we will be putting the apps/games which we find worth sharing.

Rules:
1. Must provide Google PlayStore/Apple AppStore/Windows Store link for the app/game. If not there, an official website/thread link.
2. Mention if it requires Root (most of unrooted phone users will download without even knowing).
3. What you like/dislike.
4. You can review something which has been reviewed with you viewpoints.
5. Provide your rating.

I remember Symbian S60 supported good "Answering Machine" software.But,I couldn't find any reliable answering machine software on Play Store,

Titanium Backup

Root Required: Yes

Must have app for root users who frequently change custom roms. Has great features like Schedule backup, app data backup, freeze, etc

Light Weight
Neat and different look (eg-vertical scrollable homescreen)

Bad:

Pros - A totally different experience as compared to typical android launchers; a bit "smart"

Cons - 50% of the features won't work without net

Good:
Can control a PC via internet from an android (shutdown, lock, hibernate, execute run commands, launch apps etc.)

Bad:
I wish tons of features to be added

Type : Educational

Root : NOT Required

Pros : The best code editor available on play store. Supports a large no. of PLs.

Cons : still in beta so expect more regular updates.

App Name : State Bank Freedom Plus

Type : Banking

Root : Not Required

Pros : This is a new app by SBI and is far far better than the previous crappy one. It's lightning fast and fluid. A very well made app and a MUST HAVE for SBI account holder.

Cons : Not much. since it's new, some features like recharging mobile are yet to be included.

^Thanks for notifying. Been a user of freedom since long. The new UI is really really good. Seems like SBI hired new devs.

Anyway, from the user reviews two things apart from recharge facility, come out-

1) You can't add an NEFT beneficiary from the app itself.

2) Timing has been restricted to 8am tp 8pm, seriously ?

I use it mostly for recharge (99%), and 1% for transfer, as it's the fastest transfer mode available in country yet. And both of these features are missing.
