removing status bar...

hi,i have 2 questions,
1)i want to remove the status bar ,as it shows the number of objects inside a folder along with the hidden ones...:-?

2)also wen u press "ctrl+a" u would get a select alldialog box that asks to enable viewing of hidden files from folder options in control panel.
the picture of the dialog box is attached below..
i dont want this warning.

any tweaks or registry hacks that would solve my purpose....help plz...

2)On the View menu, click Status Bar.

Go to folder options and click View tab and then check Show hidden files and folders

I can understand, u hv hidden some files/folders and want to make sure that no body knows about it. Thats why u want to remove "Statusbar" and the message.

1. Tech genius has already told u about hiding Statusbar.
2. U can't disable that message box, since its in coding of shell. But u can change the message to ur own custom message, like "congratulations! All files have been selected. Now u can perform the desired operation". :D

Thats what, I hv changed in my system. ;)

U can do it as following:

1. Open "%windir%\System32\Shell32.dll" file in Resource Hacker.
2. goto String Table -> 261 -> 1033.
3. Now change the text in 4170 line to ur desired text. (keep the quotes).
4. Click on "Compile Script" button and save the file.

PS: Since its a system file, u'll not be able to save the changes, so save it at some other location and then use "Replacer" to replace the file in "System32" folder and "%windir%\System32\DLLcache" folder. OR u can disable WFP service using WFP patcher. Both things can be find here:

thanx for yo idea. but tech genius,removin d status bar as u told(which i know) is simple. even a newbie can enable it again and come to know if there are hidden files in a folder.. ain't there any ways of removing it through registry or some other ways..?
